Yes @A DiabetesTeam Member, apply for your disability, I'm not going to lie, it is a slow process. hire a lawyer or representative to file the paperwork, most works on getting a commission and will try to push things through quicker. Also, alot of pharmaceutical companies will help with your medication. If you live in the United States, go to your local DFACS and apply for emergency Medicaid, it will help with meds. and Dr. bills if you are approved. Hope this helps you, best of luck.

To manage the costs of doctor visits and medications, consider the following tips from my knowledge base:

- Know Your Policy: Understand your insurance details, including deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance. Check which providers are in-network to minimize costs.
- Scrutinize Your Medical Bills: Errors are common in medical bills. Request detailed, itemized bills and review them carefully before paying.
- Seek Assistance Programs: Look for programs from drug manufacturers that help pay for medications, especially newer, more expensive ones.
- Negotiate: If a service isn't covered, discuss with your doctor about setting an affordable fee before the service is performed.
- Take Responsibility for Preapprovals: Confirm coverage with your insurance before any medical services to avoid unexpected costs.
- Get Help: If managing expenses is overwhelming, enlist the help of a family member, friend, or advocate.

Regarding filing for disability, this decision depends on your specific situation and the impact of diabetes on your ability to work. Consult with a healthcare provider and possibly a legal advisor to determine if you qualify for disability benefits.
