@A DiabetesTeam Member has covered most of the reasons.

Broccoli, asparagus, cabbage products, could cause strong urine smells.

Strong or darker urine could also be because of a bit of dehydration. Or a stomach ulcer bleed could could cause dark urine.

See a doctor to find out what is going on.

Good luck.

Frequent urination and strong-smelling urine can be related to high blood sugar levels, which is common in diabetes. High blood sugar levels cause the kidneys to work harder to filter glucose into the urine, leading to frequent urination and potentially stronger-smelling urine.

Frequent urination and strong-smelling urine can be related to high blood sugar levels, which is common in diabetes. High blood sugar levels cause the kidneys to work harder to filter glucose into the urine, leading to frequent urination and potentially stronger-smelling urine.

Here are some points to consider:
- High Blood Sugar: High blood sugar levels can cause frequent urination and strong-smelling urine.
- Medication Side Effects: Some diabetes medications, including SGLT2 inhibitors, can cause urinary side effects.
- Other Causes: Other potential causes include urinary tract infections (UTIs) and dehydration.

It's important to discuss these symptoms with your healthcare provider to determine the exact cause and appropriate treatment.

It "could be" the result of high concentration of sugar in your urine, but in the case of Trulicity the high sugar levels would "not be" the result of the way the drug works

There is a different drug class which includes Jardiance and Farxiga (to name two) that cause the kidneys to suck extra sugar out of the blood as a way to lower it and pass it in the urine

Trulicity does not work like that so if you have high sugar in your urine it would be because you are still consuming way more carbs (sugar/starch) than your system, even with the meds can handle

But a strong urine smell could be an infection, a kidney issue or a dozen other issues so as always:

Don't blame everything on Diabetes - get into your Doc - a simple urine test will figure out "what is going on"

If it's potentially unrelated to Diabetes and Serious you don't want to pass it off as just "something else diabetes causes"
