How Does Autonomic Neuropathy Affect Sexual Function?
Erectile Dysfunction is one of the "we don't talk about that" complications of Diabetes
So here's the bottom line
Sustained high blood sugar over the period of months or years (depending on other factors) WILL Cause E.D.
Once it sets in (the ED) there is no way to reverse the damage
Getting near perfect control of blood sugar will stop it in it's tracks but will likely not "improve" anything
The little blue pill (and any of the other brands now on the market) may help mitigate the issue but unless it is used with blood sugar control to non-diabetic levels the clock is still ticking and there becomes a point where even meds won't help
About 45% of Type 2 Males "will" experience E.D.
Why?
Because the majority of Type 2 Males (and females are just as bad) can't seem to keep their A1C below 7.0 and if you want all your parts to continue to work into your later years, keeping your A1C below 6.5 (and sub-6 would be even better) is the way to prevent it
If it's starting the prescription is - Control your blood sugar to near normal levels with diet, exercise, weight management and anti-diabetic meds if you need them and don't make excuses about falling off the management wagon
Take a prescription E.D. med like Viagra or Cialis
