What Foods Should I Be Staying Away From To Help Stabalize My Dibeties?

Anything white...white bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, cereal. Be careful of things labeled sugar-free... they are often worse in carbs than the regular stuff. Fats are ok...butter, bacon , whole milk, full fat cheese. If you have to have bread, look for the lowest carb, whole grain bread. There are low carb tortillas that are pretty tasty and I do occassionally have a hamburger bun...Walmarts are lowest carb. No more sodas or juice. Get the sugar free powdered drinks or drink water.

Anything white!! Eating lots of lean protein will help stabilize it as well. In between meals snack on lean protein and nuts or cheese.

Chrissy, I don't know if you've found a solution yet, but sometimes melotonin helps me get to sleep. It's in the vitamin section of the grocery store. If that doesn't work, Benadryl will definitely do id for me.
