I Have Not Been Taking Care Of My Diabetes And I Am Losing Weight Without Trying. What Is Going On?
MJT10 is right...as long as you don't take care of yourself and don't take your meds or insulin (if you're taking it) you will continue losing weight. As soon as you do and eat right and you MUST eat every meal AND your snacks....Breakfast,morning snack. Lunch, afternoon snack. Supper and maybe a smaller snack. Make sure you drink your 8 glasses of 8oz (64 oz) daily
im trying to lose weight .am on low carb but my sugar isn't any better and I cant seem to lose any xx not taking any meds xx
I'm not sure about your description of what occurs with muscle and fat, but it sounds as if you should contact a physician for some guidance in this instance.
This is my understanding: diabetes can impair insulin from bringing carbohydrates into the cells. The cells do not have the energy. so the body starts consuming muscle mass and body fats.
Thanks for the advice. My bsl is always a bit higher in the morning but not at a high level. I am working on staying of medications. Had a hypo this afternoon......mild........so weight loss is working for me.
