Does Anyone Else Have Granular Annulare?

A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭
Reno, NV

Have read that is caused by uncontrolled diabetes and thyroid issues. Not really sure. Rash that looks like ringworm but isn't on arms and neck. Big red blotches on lower legs. The one on legs is painful sometimes. Have had for 5 years.

Neither has mine. It has been over 5 years. Mine is getting lighter on the arms and a little of the legs.

I've had Granuloma Annulare for decades. Hate it. Though there does seem to be some relationship to diabetes, I took Plaquenil for Lupus and the GA almost completely disappeared. Strange. They say there's no effective treatment for GA...and it usually disappears in a couple of years. Mine didn't.
