Diabetes is good, cholesterol is excellent, Kidney function holding steady, but my blood pressure is creeping up in spite of taking my meds every day. Where does your Dr recommend your blood pressure be?

A normal blood pressure is 120/80 and anything above 140/ 90 you should see a Doctor!

For years I was very high 200/98 240/105 and the Doctors blamed me for it! In May 2018 I passed out while driving and hit a light pole and they all came and when they took my blood pressure it was 268/ 119 ! In the hospital they said BAD DOCTOR and BAD MEDICINE and to find another Doctor. My Doctor had me on 30 different medicines and two different insulin . The hospital found the problem and said that statin drug I was on did not mix well with all my other medicine and they reduced my medicine form 30 pills a day to 10 and I have cut down on my insulin doses by 15 units each time and that's 4 times a day. Statin drugs do not work with a lot of people so they changed it and my blood pressure now runs about 105/78 95/ 68 and all my blood gluecose levels are good for the first time in 28 years! I range from 78 to 105 and before the change I was (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) and I was going to a Diabetes Doctor. So they told me to get a new Doctor and I did and all well !

Some Doctors don't care! I was also told all your medicines should be checked through A1C Blood Work to make sure they will work for you !

I read some of the answers, my doctor told me that my blood pressure readings have been good. I run 120/80. It has been that for over three years.

I used to be below 130 over 70. Now I'm running above that more often. My kidney Dr originally said <140/70, but that was before the guidelines changed.

I'm a certified nutritionist. The number 1 cause of high blood sugar is high insulin. All diabetes drugs main effect is to raise insulin. High insulin is now thought to be the cause of insulin resistance, which leads to type 2 diabetes. A new book on this us called The Insulin Resistance Solution. Amazon has it..
