I use to take 8 shots a day plus 2000 mg metformin plus others pills. That's why they put me on pump. Before my #500- 600. Now normal to 150. But kinda to late for my kidneys and eyes. Dr say dialysis next. Plus the expense for insulin and supplies for my pump are very high.

IIve been a diabetic over 20yrs. At first I gained a little so I started walking went down to 200# from240#. Then about 3 or 4yrs ago I got on the pump the I shot up to 276#. Can't walk no more due to arthrtus. But my a1c is 7.2 from 16. Sugars are ok but I bottom out more this year. Dr. Readjust my pump. Got a little better. I'm at the end stage 3 on my kidneys. I have DM in both eyes so I'm losing my vision. Plus all the rest that comes with diabetes. Word of caution take it seriously it affects every major organ in your body. I wished I would've taken it seriously at first. If you ever want to know something about diabetes ask someone who's had diabetes for along time. Anty ways take care of yourself. If not it can get worse. I know I'm losing .
