Creator ( Cholesterol Meds)
I had blood work done and my AC 1 came back low, 5.6, which surprised me. But the thing I am worried about is the cholesterol meds. I haven't started them cause my cholesterol isn't that high. Just a lil bit. Has anyone taken crestor or is on crestor and have had any major effects from it. I am only being put on 5 MG's. But kind of concerned cause I am on four different meds right now. Two for my diabetes and two for my asthma.
Crestor, aka rosuvastatin is one of the "statins" used to treat cholesterol.
I take Lipitor (atorvastatin). There is almost no downside to taking a statin.
Doesn't hurt anything even if your "over all" cholesterol is good/normal (mine is now). The statins do help reduce "bad cholesterol" (LDL) and improve HDL levels, the good cholesterol and we can all use more of that stuff.
So no real downside.
I've been taking it since 2016 and can't think of anything that would have resembled a side effect in all that time.
My cholesterol number got better when I stopped eating fried foods but eating fish, salmon, tuna, more veggies, fruits and drinking 4-6 bottles of water daily. I also take vitamin E supplements daily. Do some kind of exercise twice daily. My doctor check my cholesterol numbers every 6 months when requested because I need to know. I wish you ❤ all well! 🙂
I take it to havnt had any problems
I'm on Crestor. Didn't know it elevates b.s. thank you it might be my problem. Will talk to my pharmacist.
I wish you all well!😊
I'm starting my fall vacation tomorrow and flying with my sisters back to Tampa for the October birthdays until Nov 1st.
