How can I loose weight being type 2? I excercise 3-4 times a week and eat relatively good but do not lose any weight.

This answer is simple @A DiabetesTeam Member, but not easily done. What medications are you doing. Take care of your gut flora. Some of us have success with ultralow carb right eating, portion control, exercise if your doctors allow (both walking and resistance training), positive attitude, kindness to everyone, a compelling reason to do what's necessary.

I did about 2500 blood glucose numbers data points in the first year. I know what foods I can eat somewhat freely, what foods I must limit, and what foods I must almost totally avoid.

I took control of my diabetes journey. My A1C began at 13.5 and at 5 months was at 4.9, it is now 5.1. I constantly experiment to maximize my carbs, while controlling my numbers in a very tight range. I teach my doctor more about diabetes, every 6-9 months that I see her.

I dropped 62 pounds during that first year to drop my BMI from 33.5 to 24.8.

So for portion control I use a 7 inch plate.
Half plate ultralow carb vegetables,
Quarter plate protein,
Quarter plate high fiber carbs or a serving Diabetes friendly whole fruits.

A serving of carbs is 15. A 3rd cup potatoes, 3rd cup pasta, 3rd cup rice, 1 slice bread.

This is now the Simple.
Cut all added sugars in food and drink. Cut the carbs to 15-20 per meal. Cut your total calories for about 300. You should loose about 1 pound a week after the first 2-3 weeks of water weight. Simple but not easy.

Baby steps. I can do baby steps and you can too.

Never give up, never surrender, never ever.
You got this.
Have a blessed day.

Thank you. This makes me want to go back to the start and look at what I’m doing vs what you’re suggesting and start again.

I lost 10kgs when I was first diagnosed, since then it’s gotten harder.

I’m on 2 x metform 2 x diagluside and 1 x onglyza per day.
I weight train and do 15-30mins of treadmill after every session.
So far my dr has no issues with me doing excercise.
I was hypertensive but since I started gym that has improved.
If I lose 20kgs I could potentially reverse the hypertension.
I’m short, my bmi is 32.
