I think it’s horses for courses but I’m suspicious of these “magic bullet” remedies.

If it works for some people then they should take it but be careful - it should not be used as a substitute for meds, diet and exercise.

Yes - but if you are taking the caplets (like I do) it is recommended that you follow it with at least 8oz of water (assume to dissolve the caplet in the gut)

I did a lot of follow up (with a CGM so got BG readings every 15 minutes) for the first two weeks of starting the ACV Caplets (a couple years back) and "unscientifically" and at least "for me" eating exactly the same meal without ACV compared to taking ACV immediately before eating the meal resulted in a higher peak blood sugar.

However, while the ACV prevents the spike from being as high without it (all else being equal), my blood sugar stays "elevated longer" (again, just not as high).

That is in line with the "method of action" for ACV which has been confirmed to "delay gastric emptying". So essentially slow down (compared to otherwise) how quickly what you eat passes from the stomach to the small intestine (where carbs are sucked in to our blood sugar - in layman's terms)

Because they (carbs) don't get there at the same time we don't spike as high. But because they are kinda "leaked in" slowly they will affect us for a longer period of time.

Beneficial for Type 2's since we typically produce insulin half decently, just don't use it very well - so if it has "more time" to deal with the carbs we tend to do a better job of them (many diabetes meds try to lengthen the time we deal with blood sugar - ACV does it naturally however at a drastically less effective level then any of the meds).

But every little bit helps as part of your total program. I see enough value myself in the ACV that I have continued to use it for a couple/few years now.

Fenugreek powder will definitely help, but if you are taking other meds then you will probably have to adjust the amount. https://nutritionfacts.org/video/the-benefits-o...

I'm afraid the olive oil while better than some oils is just added empty calories.

I have heard that 2 teaspoons of a GOOD apple cider vinegar ( I use organic), with one teaspoon of olive oil and shoot it down is supposed to help with A1C
