Sulfur Burps/gas Related To Type 1 Diabetes?
About every 3 weeks I come down with a spell of extreme sulfur burps and gas. I've web MD, googled, binged, researched as much as I can and it all doesn't help. Some GI doctors will do a test to see if your esophagus is narrower than usual and can do a procedure to stretch it if so.
I haven't heard if sulfur is involved.
I have it too. I was diagnosed with diabetic gastroparesis . Sulphur burps, gas,and in my case violent bouts of vomiting. My doc gave me Zofran for nausea and offered to put me on Raglan . But I don't like one of the possible side effects ( tremors, possibly permanent) so chose not to. Hope this helps
When I went to diabetic clinic they told us that if you get diabetes before age 30 its usually type 1 and after that its type 2
It very much sounds like a TUMMY BUG, The best thing u can do is eat as little as possible cos eating feeds the bug & makes it worse, drink LOADS of fresh cold filtered water, any sugar free clear liquids, black coffee/tea cos drinking clear liquids flushes the bug out of ur system quickly. The symptoms of a Tummy Bug are excessive sulphur smelling farting, an eggy/sulphur taste when u burp/belch and very runny liquid pooing, drinking clear fluids (filtered cold water is best) quickly flushes it out of ur system!
