What's the normal blood sugar level ratings
Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
For nondiabetics normal blood glucose numbers are 4.0(72) to 7.8(140). For us diagnosed with diabetes, this is called TITR, time in tight range. Baby steps.
It is what we should strive to get to, since this precludes any additional cumulative vascular damage from glucose spikes. Baby steps.
This cumulative vascular damage leads to diabetes complications and comorbidities. Baby steps.
If you can control your numbers to TITR it will arrest diabetes complications and comorbidities right where they are now. Baby steps.
I've been blessed by controlling my numbers to TITR and increasing blood flow to my feet. I dealt with very painful peripheral neuropathy for 15 months. Just walking gave me excruciating pain to my feet. Baby steps.
I controlled my numbers since diabetes diagnosis in February 2021, to TITR. 6 months in, my right eating lifestyle paid dividends as I could walk without foot pain. I am blessed. Especially since I walked 4-6 miles every day in my job. Baby steps.
Of course my knees still hurt from the rhumatoid Arthritis and other damage, but that is just a minor inconvenience and irritation. Baby steps.
I test a minimum of 4-6 times a day. So I know my pre meal and 2 hour numbers. Baby steps.
Good luck in your efforts.
And never give up, never surrender, never ever.
You got this.
Have a wonderful day.
