That's a loaded question. What types of insulin are you doing.

Long acting types of insulin, should be given at least once a day usually at the same time.

Quick acting types of insulin should be given before meals.

Talk to your doctor and talk to your pharmacist. They can give you some guidance.

Blends of insulin like 70/30, 70% long acting and 30% fast acting can be given multiple times a day.

It's hard to know what to say without more information. Talk to your medicals. Good luck.

Wow - this question should never have to be asked after the prescription has been written

Get back to the prescribing Doctor or Diabetes Clinic and start asking those questions

An insulin overdose can KILL YOU in a couple of hours

I would put it back in the fridge until the Doctor explains your treatment and dosage instructions to you

With any medications you should be crystal clear on exactly how, when, how much to take and what it should be doing for you - and don't leave the Doctors office until you understand that completely - even if you need to take notes
