Digital Watch That Can Track Blood Sugar Levels
Hi
I've seen a lot of ads on watches that can monitor your blood sugar levels. Does anybody know if these actually work or is it just baloney
Good evening from South Jersey all you warriors.
Yes the non invasive blood glucose devices, like smart watches, have not been approved by any country in the world, for many reasons.
They do not promise accurate blood glucose numbers, because they are highly inaccurate.
The are so inaccuate that I can get a 3.2(56) and a minute later a 8.5(153)... my blood glucose number tested with a fingerstick is actually 6.4(115).
The technology is not there yet. The software is not there yet. And even with multiple sensors, they still suck.
If you used them for treatment decisions, they could kill you. Stick to fingersticks or the cgms. The cgms are less accurate than a finger stick but still acceptable.
My Bride and I have been testing them for a month, we each have one.
China will produce and sell you anything. They are guided only by profits.
I repeat, that if you used one of these smartwatch's blood glucose numbers for treatment decisions, they could kill you.
The technology is not here yet.
Hi, I am new to this site but not to diabetes T2 for whatever reason doctors never put me on meds. until now. I saw the watches that show us our blood levels at anytime and I would like to know what is the difference when you wear free style device and use your phone to read levels or you get your reading through skin on watch. NP doesn't know anything about these new watches so she has an opinion that they might not be accurate. Am being put on trilogy and she wants to send me prick test that I only have to do once a day. Just like any dr. she wanted to put me on metformin but I just wanted shot once a week. I find with all drs. you have to do your research and really advocate for yourself.😉
