@A DiabetesTeam Member. Red Bull is full of caffeine. Caffeine is a stimulant. It gives you instant energy which can make you tired later on in the day coming off of the caffeine high. Caffeine also causes high blood pressure, plus a fast and irregular heart rate. Be careful when drinking Red Bull. Chocolate is also high in caffeine as is regular tea.

My son was prescribed iron tablets to assist with his incredible growth spurt at 12-years old. He isn't yet diabetic but he has been diagnosed with a fatty liver.

@A DiabetesTeam Member Red Bull is high in both sugar and carbs which are bad for your body, especially if you have diabetes. Can you wean yourself off of it by drinking coffee or tea with no sweetener? That way you get the caffeine boost without the other bad stuff.
