Carm. I too was on metformin for a couple of years when I started having problems with diarrhea. I was a go any where unless I knew where the bathroom ps were. I wasn't happy with my Dr. , so I found another one. My new Dr was very easy to talk to & understanding when I told her about it. She change my metformin to a different metformin. I haven't had any more problems with it. She also has me taking it less & my blood sugars are good. Talk to your Dr & if your not comfortable talking to him/ her find one you can. You are the one in change. God bless , be safe, & healthy. 🥰

Metformin, prescribed by an endocrinologist gave me explosive diarrhea. Note... It is not who/what prescribes the medication, but the medication itself that does or does not do it's thing. I might add... I had taken it for a couple of years without problems and then.... All of a sudden, it became my enemy. Don't believe anyone. talk to your doctor and get help working it out. they are your friends.
