If You Wear A CGM (Libre, Dexcom Or Medtronic) Have You Heard The (phrase) AGP Or Ambulatory Glucose Profile (say That Fast A Few Times)??

One of the most significant changes to Glucose Management in the past 100 years (Insulin was discovered 103 years back) is the development and use of CGM's or Continuous Glucose Monitors

There is two basic types of the device - the "continuous" models like Dexcom that are "always" tracking your blood sugar number, measured in the interstitial fluid around your cells and the "intermittently scanned" models like Libre - the Libre 2 now records a reading on a graph once a minute (if you use the… read more

I love my Dexcom for all the reasons that Graham mentions and I also pay close attention to the Standard Deviation. I go for my 3 month a1c test in about a week and expect it to be 6 or lower as per my Dexcom. Thanks Graham.

Great information and my Libre2 does start beeping at 69 or above 239. But because that is the reason my a1c is at 6.3, thanks Graham

PS - this is what the (graph) looks like on the Libre2 APP

I strung together 3 different graphs showing my 7, 30 and 90 day TITR readings during a period last summer

My A1C that equated to these graphs was 5.6%

Standard Deviation and Time in Range as per my Dexcom are the most important numbers to me. My TIR is set to 4-8..(72-144)..very high above 9 (162) and very low below 2.8 (50.4)..
I'm fortunate to have been able to use CGM's since 2 months after being diagnosed in 2017 and really wish they were more available to all Diabetics..in fact I think they should be given out free to every person upon being diagnosed.
