Thirsty all the time
Always have to pee
Vision blurs unexpectedly
Lack of Energy
Always Hungry
Itchy Skin
Tingling in the extremities, particularly your feet

Of course all of those (things) can be explained away by many things which is why most who develop diabetes are "surprised" - lots of missed signs there
