Try a vitamin B complex,increasing magnesium intake.Pain can be eased by massage with essential oils .Keeping area warm/ cool( may be either) will help too.

Prescriptions - gabapentin or pregabalin

Doesn't fix the problem, doesn't slow it down, but takes away the symptoms mostly - neuropathy is nearly impossible to completely stop and beyond impossible to roll back - result of years of high blood sugar (a little at a time - damage is cumulative)
