As Pat notes you need a lab test to determine that

If those are fasting number ranges that would indicate "minimally" your blood sugar is NOT Normal, but not necessarily full blown Type 2

If those are Random or after meal numbers then those are excellent and NOT Indicative of Type 2 Diabetes

Context and Timing of tests is key if being used for clinical/diagnostic conclusions

Based on your A1C levels, which measure your average blood sugar over the past two to three months:

- Less than 5.7 percent is considered normal.
- 5.7 percent to 6.4 percent indicates prediabetes.
- 6.5 percent or higher indicates diabetes.

Since your A1C levels are between 5.5 and 6.4, this suggests you are in the Show Full Answer

Ok, so what we call "fasting numbers"

They are elevated above "normal" which is "under 5.5"

But if using Fasting Numbers to diagnose diabetes (used to be the standard test) you would need "consistently above 7.0"

Based on those elevated (from normal) fasting numbers it is possible that you are clinically pre-diabetic at this point, but maybe not

See your Doc and have an A1C test done - will give you an answer in about a day
