Parasites And Detoxing. Does It Have Any Affect On Diabetes?

A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question πŸ’
Drakensberg

I was chatting to a homeopath/natural healer today and he seems to think that a parasite cleansing will help this process.Something about the sugar (previous life) creating a perfect environment for parasites. He seemed to think that just about everyone has parasites and that its a good idea anyway as this cleans would possibly also dump toxins that accumulate in the body fat. Loosing weight will make for a concentration of these toxins too so said I need to take the hydration seriously too. I… read more

There is a doctor that has been "cleaning out" the small intestine of Diabetics and bringing on immediate remission

What he has been finding (and it's still in the middle of the study/trial) is that our small intestine gets clogged up kinda like a drain pipe after years of crap have gone "down the drain" and it effects the uptake of many nutrients

Cleaning it out has resulted in way better blood sugar regulation and control, so there "MAY BE" something to "detoxing"

However, if the (guy) is trying to sell you a detox formula to take the crap out of your blood, then it is "snake oil" - your Liver does a ton of things but in this case it "detoxes" your system 24 hours a day and passes the waste through the kidneys

You don't need some secret formula to do that.

Yes, there is supplements/naturals that can make your liver a little more efficient (like Milk Thistle), but I am very leery of someone trying to sell me something to "detox" a system that is just self sufficient

But do a little more research. If the Dude's method is sound there will be actual research out there from a reputable source to collaborate it

@A DiabetesTeam Member found it faster than I thought (my filing system sucks) 😁

And yes, my "light reading material" might seem "obscure" to many

You can read the synopsis of the study here:
