Initially my coffee consumption went from 8 or 10 cups a day (with cream and one sugar) to near zero

I hated the aftertaste of the sweeteners and coffee sans sugar just tasted so bitter that I couldn't choke it down

But my addiction to caffeine won out - drinking 8 to 10 cups a day again with just a splash of 18% cream to change the colour

Now if I get a swig of coffee with sugar in it, it tastes so incredibly foul that I can't swallow it

Moral of the story - most of us hated the taste of Beer with out first taste but choked it down because it was "cool"

Eventually we imprinted that taste - just have to re-imprint the new taste of coffee/tea and "pretend" it's cool at least until we are used to it again 😁
