Have Had Diabetes 2 For 21 Years Now. After A Meal My Sugar Spikes To Over 300. Does This Happen To Most Members Of This Group?
British measure in millimoles per litre( mmol/l) USA in milligrams per decilitre( mg/dl)
What I mean by pig out is eating more carbs than my body can cope with at one sitting.Yes rice, noodles.,potatoes, bread are all danger areas for me.My portion size has to be less than half what would be considered to be a portion
Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
You do know that when you cut your net carbs, while eating to your blood glucose meter,,,
Your 2 hour numbers will go down.
With type 2 we can treat, simply by what we put in our mouths, and by what we don't put in our mouths.
Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
British Commonwealth blood glucose numbers times 18 Equals USA blood glucose numbers.
BC. USA.
mmol/L. mg/dL
1.0 x 18 = 18
2.0 x 18 = 36
3.0 x 18 = 54
4.0 x 18 = 72
5.0 x 18 = 90
6.0 x 18 = 108
7.0 x 18 = 126
8.0 x 18 = 144
9.0 x 18 = 162
10.0 x 18 = 180
11.0 x 18 = 198
12.0 x 18 = 216
Etc.
My health has changed for the better since counting carbs. Not that I was ever a bad eater, but now that I eat three meals a day, 4 to 5 hours apart, and count carbs, I feel so much healthier and with so much energy. It does make a huge difference.
I have had diabetes for 23 years- my glucose doesn't spike over 12/216 unless I " pig"out" and eat too much/too many carbs.
Standard range for glucose is 4/72-10 /180. Time in tight range( TITR) is 4/72-7.8/134.you must be your own judge- we are all different in our goals.
How Often Should You Eat?
Has Any One Tried Myjourne Injection.
Pls Provide Me With A List Of Food Not Tio Eat
