Using Rezodek For Over 2 Months Now. Why Are My Sugar Levels Always Above 10

You will have to talk with your doctor.
You need to do your part and cut your carbs a bit.
Exercise. Try walking 10-15 minutes immediately after eating each meal. You can slowly add more activity.
Drop weight slowly till your BMI is in the normal range of 18.0 to 24.9. This has one of the largest effects in controlling your blood glucose numbers.
Hydrate, sip 3-5 litres water daily.
Get 6-7 hours sleep nightly, 8 is better.
Find your compelling reason to do what is necessary to live your best life with diabetes.
Mine is my family. My Bride, our 5 children, our 12 grandchildren, our 3 great grandchildren.
Both my parents passed 30 years ago from poorly controlled blood glucose numbers. Over time this led to diabetes complications and comorbidities. They both died within 10 years of being diagnosed.
Good luck.
Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
I'm a Japanese rice-aholic who ate good Japanese rice 2-3 meals a day my whole life. Rice is not part of the meal. It is the meal, everything else is a garnish or condiment. Baby steps.
My meter tells me what I can eat and how much. Since a serving of rice is 15 carbs... 1/3 cup and I can only have 2-3 net carbs. I can only have a tablespoon as a meal replacement. Baby steps.
Or I can eat very low carb vegetables and salad greens and some meat and eggs. Baby steps.
A bit more satisfying than a tablespoon of rice. Baby steps.
Have you thought of using cauliflower rice? No carbs!!!
Or cutting right back on your basmati rice
I take 40 units in the morning and 40 units at night before supper around 19:00. My doctor doesn't like me taking such a high dose of 40 units at a time but I have to sometimes increase my dose at night to bring my levels lower but it still seldom comes below the 10 mark. I am of Indian origin so my diet is curry and basmati rice as often as possible
