Anyone Else Have AMD Eye Condition Along With Well-controlled Diabetes?

My Father developed AMD while he was still incredibly well controlled

(long story) but he resisted going on meds for way too long and flushed 12 years of great control ending up developing all the complications including adding the neovascular component, caused by the blood sugar, to his existing AMD - went legally blind - not the way to do it
