When You Get A Different Result Taking Your Blood Vs Using Libre 3. Blood Is 267 , Libre Is 254
Both numbers are way too high for good control. Cut your carbs slowly.
Get your meds adjusted.
That is more than close enough
The "standard" is 15% so the reading needs to be within 15% of "actual" to be considered accurate enough to be an approved meter
To illustrate lets say your "true/exact" blood sugar was 260
15% of that 39 points
So "any reading" between (260-39) 221 and (260 + 39) 299 would be considered within the required accuracy
In my example IF your real level was 260 then both your meter and your Libre3 were within 3% of the "actual" and that is incredibly accurate
And that is aside from the fact that a stick test checks sugar in whole blood and Libre3 checks sugar in interstitial fluid (almost like apples and oranges) and at any given minute the two reading will not be the same - one leads or lags the other as the sugar migrates from whole blood to the fluid around the cells
Helpful, thank you
