Really good reason

You can't "puke" and asphyxiate yourself if you have an empty stomach which even if you survive tends to cause aspiration pneumonia 😁

And that is why you fast before any procedure where nausea/vomiting are "common" side effects of the anesthesia or in this case, the contrast material

Yikes I didn’t know that about contrast I def know it about anesthesia as I always get sick no matter how long I fast before surgery. Hopefully 🀞 I won’t get sick I have to get back home afterwards! Thanks @A DiabetesTeam Member
