Did you just start taking the meds or has this been happening for a while?

Anytime you start a medication or increase the dose it can cause Stomach trouble

But if this is not the case, see your doctor

We have to be careful not to blame diabetes for everything from isolated pain to hang nails

Exactly @A DiabetesTeam Member if it persists longer than about 2 weeks then you may not be able to tolerate the drugs (5-10% of people can't take a given drug)

But the alternate drugs can often come with "worse" side effects so it's always best to give a new one (or increased dose) a good shot before trying to stop them

Our body "knows" that Meds don't belong there and sometimes "rebel" a little at first :)

Hi all,
@A DiabetesTeam Member, you are right and this was confirmed by my doctor. She explained that the sharp stomach cramps happen when you start taking your medications or the dosage was changed. The pain eventually goes away.
