Yes, untreated diabetic foot conditions can be very serious and potentially deadly. Diabetes can cause nerve damage and reduce blood supply to the feet, making it difficult to feel injuries and for those injuries to heal. This can lead to infections, which, if not treated promptly, can result in severe complications, including amputation or even death. Regular foot inspections and prompt medical attention for any issues are crucial.

If it Neuropathy and it gets bad enough that there's numbness, sores can lead to amputations. Why I always check my feet every night. My Dr. takes a sharp pointed stick to check and see how far the Neuropathy has gotten. I still have some feeling in my feet and toes. I use a foot spa, with messaging jets. My diabetic shoes keeps me from staggering so bad. Hope this helps you Debra❤
