Apple Cider Vinegar
Does anyone take ACV and have good results in lowering Blood Glucose?
Every day mate, because it works and is great for the liver
Any vinegar will help when taken at same time as a meal. I think thats part of why having a salad before dinner helps some of us. But just stirring a teaspoon in a glass of water in the morning never seemed to help. But we all are different !
Hope it helps.
Yes it does but it comes in caplets so NO heartburn 😁
I does slow carb uptake so can lead to better average blood sugar and less spikes but you have to take it all the time because the effect only lasts a few hours from each (dose)
For me the results while positive were minimal 0.2 or 0.3 mmols post meal drop which is 3 to 5 points - ok, better than nothing but not enough "for me" to continue using it
Your experience may vary
Tried it many years ago but could not tell any difference. Good luck
Hello @A DiabetesTeam Member, I never took the ACV for glycemic control, but i have for my stomach. I take the capsules, heard it was beneficial for glycemic control. I will say this, it makes all your food taste like vinegar. You need to ask @A DiabetesTeam Member about this, as he answered a question about it awhile back. I do remember, he said it just wasn't worth it. Hugs Joyce
