Is There Anyone Who Suffers From Candida In Both Ears, Being Diabetic.

A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭
Oudtshoorn, ZA

My ears get blocked and its very frustrating as its disturbing my hearing. For the past 11 years it only happened once every 6 to 12 months but from this year its more frequent. According my specialist it can be caused by diabetes. I am awaiting my results from the patholygist. The treatment (ointment) prescribed by ENT specialist is not much effective.

Not exactly "caused" by diabetes it (Candida) is a fungus (yeast) that all of us have in/on our bodies

But as a diabetic, if you have "higher than normal blood sugars" (and I mean normal as in non-diabetic) that "extra sugar" feeds the Candida you are supplying "lost of extra sugar" which can turn into Thrush, Urinary Tract (Yeast) infections etc

So no, Diabetes doesn't "cause it" - it's there already - but even "mildly uncontrolled" blood sugar levels can supercharge and grow the infection which causes the problem

Just another in the long list of ailments/conditions that you "likely wouldn't experience" if you kept your blood sugar levels "below" 140 (7.8 mmols) at least 75% of the time
