It's very difficult for USA 🇺🇸 diabetic patients especially as you are bombarded by so many death ☠ food chains on every street.. Of course they're here in the UK but no where near as many.
People don't realise until it's too late... Some good advice a T1 friend told me and really hit home was that if you're fat/overweight BMI above 29 etc you're either pre diabetic or have diabetes.
You mention that in the states it's the 7th biggest killer of American citizens, personally I think 🤔 you'll find that it's more like the 4th. Governments cover up hundreds of thousands of cases to allow junk food to prosper simply because they make billions in taxation.. The government doesn't care about your health only you can take control of it.

Yes, and a lot of the Heart Failure Deaths that get stuck in the "2nd leading cause" are in fact Diabetes related but get reported as the more 'common cause'
