BUT if your sugar was already rising due to something else at the time of injection, it can certainly continue to go higher even after the injection

However, you can be assured as high as it goes it would have been "significantly higher" without the insulin injections

If your sugar remains too high after injecting the Humalog it needs to be increased to match what you are eating

If your fasting numbers are high out of range after injecting the Lantus then likewise, the dosage needs to be adjusted
