Frequent Nighttime Urination. More Than 1x A Night.

A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭
Pitman, NJ

There are many possible reasons for frequent urination, including
‐-----------------------------
For me the cause are the necessary treatments for prostate cancer. The prostate was 10 times normal size and the cancer metastasized into other tissues.

The nerves to control #1 and #2, as well as much of my pelvic floor were sacrificed to remove the cancer.

It keeps metastisizing - so 7 years later I am currently in my 9th treatment

For me 4xs per night or more. Jardiance is one of the reasons.

I visit the loo at least 2-3x a night. After the surgery it tooks months to gain control.

Then less than 2 years later back to square 1 during the 9 weeks every day of radiation treatments. 1 month later control began to return.

On my best nights I can go 3+ hours between loo visits. On my worse nights it is 2 hours beween visits.

I sleep 6-7 hours nightly. Occasionally I get a nap.

I sip 150-250 ounces of water daily, and all but 20 ounces by 3-4 pm. Less fluid at night to release.

I do 10,000 units Vitamin D, and a calcium, magnesium, zinc supplement. They both help me with longer periods between loo visits at night. I do electrolytes as needed. They help lessen loo visits too.

And yes I was diagnosed with Parkinson's 30 years ago.

My back is spasming, it started with violent coughing, so I will see my doctor.

Good luck.
