I didn't even know that there was such a thing as emotional diabetes until someone told me. I think that may be my issue as well.

Type 2 Diabetes is a metabolic disorder

Any change in hormones, from any number of causes/reasons effects your metabolism which effects blood sugar (usually jacking it up)

So pain, fear, depression, joy and dozens of others cause the release of hormones which can trigger blood sugar release from the "warehouse load" in the liver
