@A DiabetesTeam Member are you an Insulin user?

Insulin does not harm your kidneys and in fact anytime your Blood Sugar is up above 154 for longer than an hour it is your Blood Sugar and not meds that are destroying your kidneys

Managing diabetes and kidney health can be challenging. Here are some tips based on my knowledge base:

1. Medication and Technology: Consider discussing with your doctor about using insulin or other medications that might better control your A1c. Continuous glucose monitors can help track your blood sugar levels more effectively.

2. Diet and Exercise: While medication is crucial, maintaining a healthy diet and regular exercise can also help manage blood sugar levels.

3. Support and Planning: Planning meals and managing your daily routine can help keep your diabetes under control. Engaging with a support community can provide additional tips and emotional support.

4. Consult Your Doctor: Always consult your healthcare provider to adjust your treatment plan, especially with your kidney condition in mind.

Remember, it's important to work closely with your healthcare team to find the best approach for your specific situation.

Hi Jenean! My name is Kathleen. I understand about you blood sugar always being high. At one point it didn't even register on the machine. I went to the hospital. For a long time I just let it go and do what it wants.
Now I am trying to control it.
It is not easy, so I know how you feel. I am finding that white bread makes it sky rocket. I am trying to eat more veggies,
cut down on white everything, drink more water, the flavored kind...
Have you found that when you sugar goes high that you lose control of your bladder?
