They are slightly different formula's (Lispro vs Aspart - both synthetic insulins) both offer the same effective level of control

You may notice a slight difference - Novolog works a little faster and same results with slightly less units - the Doc will advise and you should adjust just fine

@A DiabetesTeam Member...... Humalog is a brand name version for Insulin Lispro.
Novolog is a brand name version for Insulin Aspart.
They are not directly interchangeable.
Novolog works slightly faster than Humalog in most people.
Both are fast acting Insulin. (Bolus)
I personally use Trurapi (Aspart) Bolus and also use Fiasp (Aspart) when I need something that works even quicker.
There are numerous Insulins on the market and so it is important to talk to your Doctor about which regimen best works for you...
Most people will also need Basal Insulin (Long Acting) as well as Bolus.
A Doctor that is experienced and knowledgeable in Diabetes and/or a CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator} is paramount for your proper management of Diabetes.
