This is uncanny.
I was thinking about you last night, and wondering how you were progressing from your bypass.
And here you pop up.
It’s so good to see you. Welcome back.
I hope that you are feeling much stronger by now.
My Endocrinologist is happy with me using an Accu-Chek but perhaps I should change the batteries more often?
I thought that it would stop working when the batteries were flat?
Thank you for sharing 🤗

It’s so nice to be talking to you Helmut.
Thank you for your messages
You did make me laugh with the ironing board!
I’m very glad that you seem to be doing well and congratulations in having diabetes under control.
I do hope that your son gets to visit you from time to time.
As you might have read, I had an incredible visit with my daughter over the Christmas period. She lives in Switzerland and we had a lot of fun.
Take care 🤗

Good morning, Lorna, it may be uncanny, but in reality, it's not. So often we just take a break or being away. You have been away for a while and I noticed you had other things in mind., We so often spend so much time to study ourselves and sometimes it lead to an obsession, being your own investigator about your health. Matter of fact One thing leads to another. I ended up years ago to get a lecture book. Body Structure and Functions. It sure came handy at the moment I had this surgery. I learned a lot and it also shows how vulnerable we are with our body, as we just live Life. So thank you for mindful endorsement. Yes as time of healing passes by the body irons out to get in the stage of being healthy again and also show me the warning signs...........just in case I want to live longer .The Diabetes 2 is almost on the way out. I just wait for the next clinical report in February. But so far it looks promising, as it finally becomes for me the normal necessity to think about to have a good relationship with my body. Enough is enough. Just talk about my story. Yes the batteries become a little culprit. I think the will work till the Powersource is so minimal, that it is not able to function. We get so used to it, like the little TV controller does the same thing. Obviously, it was just a thought You're mentioning tracing the health issues from families and such. A very good idea indeed, yet non of my relatives are alive. Only my son he still lives in Austria. Nevertheless, you are the one that gets your health under control, Having such a great Forum which encourages us to pay attention to our being. I wish you a gret healthy Year 2025.

I'm happy with the Accu check. I tried several ones and found this is informative and the test stripes are easy to use. Yet a close accuracy comes with most others as well. But low batteries may influence test results. Yet convenience is a part as well. But clean washed hands and not using already too often used lancets. That changes the reading quite a bit. Not the Meters the HANDS. I just miss a good conversion to other readings then just mg/dl.
