The AI Bot got the main ones

Best way is to use Glucose Tablets available from most drug stores - glucose is absorbed almost immediately - tablets are the equivalent of about 15 carbs

Fruit Juice like apple or orange - 4oz - that's the size of one of those "kids lunch" sized juice boxes - and they are stable at room temperature and have a decent shelf life (like a year) so can keep them on hand - works "almost as quick" as glucose tablets - 4oz is the equivalent of about 15 carbs

After that 4 teaspoons of honey or even table sugar mixed up in some water or something else you could consume quickly would also work with no negative side effect of any kind, like the two methods above - 4 teaspoons of sugar or honey would come in at about 16 carbs

15/16 carbs should bring your blood sugar level back into a safe range within about 15 minutes - if it's a drug induced low (slight overdose) from insulin or sulfonylurea's you may have to "treat again" based on stick test 15 minutes after (consuming) the first try at recovery

I always carry glucose tabs around. I will have some honey and orange juice too. Good ideas and thank you.

Hello Terry

Iā€™m so relieved that you asked the question through the resource that I suggested.
I knew that you would get the best advice.
You now have more safer options that work much faster, than what you were eating to correct the dreadful lows.
Wishing you a healthier and happy day šŸ¤—šŸ™

Terry, I always have a jar of honey in my kitchen cupboard. Two or three tablespoons later and the low sugar symptoms subside. It takes about 10 minutes after the third spoon.
