It's a nice sunny day in my piece of Eastern Ontario so I was out on my front porch getting a dose of Vitamin D - we need that particularly in the winter if you are in the Northern Hemisphere

Anyhow, my next door neighbour (a few hundred feet away - I live in rural area) pulled into his driveway and carried a couple McDonald's bags and a Super Sized Coke complete with paper straw since plastic straws are Banned in Canada into the house before coming back for his "hockey bag"

As regards diabetics metabolism vs non d metabolism reminds me of the old joke:

Diabetic niece to diabetic uncle:

β€œUncle how do I know which foods to eat?”

Uncle: β€œit’s simple, if it tastes good spit it out.”

That could be the story of my life!

Okay everyone's metabolism is different. Example my wife doesn't over eat but enjoys her desserts. Doesn't over indulge either. She exercises and is healthy including weight. I have to watch what I eat. I exercise and not overweight. Is this fair? I don't let that bother me. We are all individuals and our bodies adjust accordingly. Be happy for your neighbor that he's active and enjoying life. Also enjoy life as well. Diebetes does not stop us from living a full life. Enjoy and look after YOU!
