Me too - used to eat a "mountain" on plate of rice cooker cooked rice covered in Sweet & Sour Sauce
White Rice and White Potato are "Simple Starches" - they cause a fast Spike that sustains for many times longer than a simple sugar or complex starch (whole grain types as an example)
So not only does it Jack You Up - You Ride the Wave for 2 or 3 times longer than most other macronutrients
That's How you KNOW that Diabetes Sucks - the Worst Food for a Diabetic to Eat is French Fries only second to white rice - simple starch loaded with heart killing saturated fats so not only whacks the blood sugar but tries to put us in the 85% of Type 2's that die from heart disease (advanced and complicated by abnormal cholesterol, triglyceride and blood pressure levels - things that French Fries "do very well")
What sort of Twisted Beast put that Curse on us 😂
I've found that with fiber supplements you really need to drink plenty of fluids, Aaron.

I cannot handle rice at all. I love it, but it's not worth the sugar spike. So I say no to rice.
