Is There A Safer, More Natural Alternative To Taking Actos, Trulicity, Victoza, Ozempic, Rybelsus, Invokana, Farxiga, Jardiance?
And and about 3 dozen others
All of those medications which belong to the main medication class "Anti-Diabetics" are produced in a lab to try and manage our blood sugar levels
Because they are synthetics they all come with a laundry list of side effects - they aren't natural and they don't belong in our bodies at all
Some will not react, some may have minor reactions and some small percentage of users could see severe side effects up to and including death
The thing to remember is, if your… read more
I’d hate to be a diabetic in the USA.
I wouldn’t recommend insulin therapy if you are significantly insulin resistant (as I am) or maybe I’m not, maybe it’s my liver dumping too much glucose and/or my pancreas being affected by a tiny amount of fat (see Taylor’s Newcastle Diet).
Whatever the reason insulin therapy runs the risk of insulin resistant people getting hyperinsulinemia which means too much insulin sloshing around the body which then can attack vital organs such as the heart.
The below article suggests hyperinsulinemia is a cause of insulin resistance and lists some of the risks of having it.

This paper below suggests that hyperinsulinemia precedes insulin resistance so again we have in medical circles the chicken and egg scene.

As is often the case experts hold diametrically opposed views so it’s up to us to make up our own minds and whether it’s worth risking insulin therapy or risk taking other types of anti diabetes meds.
Many T2 Diabetics regard insulin as the easy option but I would advise using it unless as a last resort.
It should be pointed out that there are side effects from taking so called natural remedies.
@A DiabetesTeam Member even that is getting safer now with CGM driven pumps and pods run by APPs that constantly monitor sugar levels and dispense insulin as needed
Hey, if they could do it in the 1920's and 30's it's "not that hard today" with all our technology - if you injected and wandered off a CGM would start screaming at you, and most insulin users qualify for CGM's
Insulin can be dangerous. Chance i’d overdoes. Some of us as we age are forgetful I could see myself taking insulin before a meal than deciding to go for a walk instead!!!!
