Meal time insulin is coming for sure. I see my Dr. in September and my am and pm bs are very high. The increase of Toujeo to 80 units is not bringing it down. I really don't like all this testing I will be doing. I have never had to worry about low bs. How do these pumps work? Will they help me have less needle sticks? Do they administer insulin? I am a T2D on insulin (Long AND short term).
I am currently MDI instead of a pump.
I live in the USA
My phone is a android Samsung
I use Dexcom G7 as my CGM.

Is there an non-pump alternative to the InPen that will automatically track my Novolog injections?

I’m in my mid-70s and need to externally confirm (Bluetooth?) when and in what quantity I took my Novolog.
Dont really care about calculation capability.

Are there any alternatives to Novolog? It is not in my plans formulary and they want me to use a step therapy plan as an alternative. Not sure what step therapy is?

I'm on Lantus-20 units at night, Trulicity .75, and Novolog sliding scale. My insurance will no longer pay for Lantus. The alternates are Basaglar, Levemir, and Tresiba. Which one is the best? I hear there is a trial going on for a weekly long lasting insulin. Any thoughts?
