I Hav Can Anyone Tell Me What Is The Normal Reading On A One Touch Machine I Cannot Figure Out When I Am High Or Low
It really depends on the goals you have set with your dr. to obtain a A1C of 7%, which is considered a safe level, by the Canadian diabetic ass.(although other sources say that 8% is ok) you need to maintain BS
before meals between 4-7
after meals between 7-10, to maintain a A1C of 7%
Judy Ann's info is right' it would be considered the ideal range but it may not be necessary, At least as far as I know
maybe there is someone out there that can tell us more
Anything over 7 they tell you is high but the machine
in Australia the reading are 6,9 is good lower then 4,5 starts you of low and over 8.3 is the start of being high i get confused seeing the other countrys readings
They tell me 6 but mine is usually higher
Machine will say error when it at 20 or more
