I Hav Can Anyone Tell Me What Is The Normal Reading On A One Touch Machine I Cannot Figure Out When I Am High Or Low

It really depends on the goals you have set with your dr. to obtain a A1C of 7%, which is considered a safe level, by the Canadian diabetic ass.(although other sources say that 8% is ok) you need to maintain BS

before meals between 4-7
after meals between 7-10, to maintain a A1C of 7%

Judy Ann's info is right' it would be considered the ideal range but it may not be necessary, At least as far as I know

maybe there is someone out there that can tell us more

Anything over 7 they tell you is high but the machine

in Australia the reading are 6,9 is good lower then 4,5 starts you of low and over 8.3 is the start of being high i get confused seeing the other countrys readings

They tell me 6 but mine is usually higher
