What Medication Are Recommended For Metformyn And Lantus?

I am at 500 mg x 3 and 16 units /day

That is about a "mid-range" dose of Metformin with the maximum (depending on the health authority in the various countries) being about 2850mg maximum per day - so at 1500 you are about 1/2 way to maximum

With the Lantus there is no "standard" amount to really gauge against - you can take as much or as little as "you personally need"

Lantus replaces the insulin your pancreas would normally release while fasting/sleeping/not eating for more than about 3 hours

In a non-diabetic the pancreas would release maybe 13 or 14 units worth so at 16 units a day that sounds "about right" with a little bit of "insulin resistance" causing the need for the couple extra units

You have tons of room to increase the doses of either IF your diabetes advances
