Try using a foot spa with water jets, as neuropathy occurs from lack of oxygenated blood flow to the feet, therefore affecting our nerves @A DiabetesTeam Member

If you are past the point where over the counter pain relievers no longer work, you should talk to your doctor

There are two "non-opioid" prescription options - Lyrica (pregabalin) and Neurontin (gabapentin) are the two most widely used to relieve the discomfort of diabetic neuropathy (relieve the discomfort but don't "fix" anything)

But it may also be time to start bugging your doctor for a referral to a vascular specialist - they may be able to help significantly delay a worsening of the condition - this option can improve the condition and maybe roll it back a bit

- Stay physically active
- Take breaks from sitting by walking around every 30 minutes
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator
- Lose weight if you are overweight
- Eat a balanced and healthy diet
- Limit alcohol consumption
- Quit smoking
- Take all medications as prescribed by your doctor

- Foot Care:
- At-home foot care and yearly foot exams are essential
