Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
Many people, like my Bride, our children, and grandchildren get headaches when they are particularly dehydrated. Personally I don't get headaches, except when I was exposed to certain chemical toxins when I was working in chemical plants.
Baby steps.

The current wisdom for proper hydration is 1/2 to 3/4 ounce of water daily for every pound of body weight. My weight is almost 180 pounds. So recommended water intake daily is 90-135 ounces daily.
Baby steps.

But I personally feel my best at 150-250 ounces of water daily. I have been doing that for almost 15 years. I was diagnosed with diabetes February 2021.
Baby steps.

So I suggest that unless there is another reason, or unless you are precluded medically from sipping that much water daily - you would be well served to keep properly hydrated.
Baby steps.

There are other causes of headaches that need to be ruled out medically. There are also prescription medications side effects.
Baby steps.

But all that being said, it costs you nothing to try proper hydration.
Baby steps.

Did you know that hunger is often an incorrect signal for dehydration and that many eat instead of drinking. The are ravenous and will continue to eat, because they do not know the real cause of their hunger urge.
Baby steps.

Sipping water over a period of time will satisfy the dehydration issue.
Baby steps.

And never give up, never surrender, never ever.
You got this.
Have a wonderful day.

Hi everyone my doctor once told me that if the sugar level is either too high or too low then headaches are imminent so I think you should look into that and good luck with your health.
