Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
Insulin has 2 jobs.
1) use glucose to get energy into our cells for daily function.
2) carbs both simple, aka sugars, and complex, aka carbs, not needed for daily function are stored for future use as fat.

The trick is to continue to cut carbs till you strike the balance you seek.
If you want to drop a little weight or add a little you must find that balance. Baby steps.

No it isn't,but you do have to keep a tight control on your dosage.
