Fatigue is a common symptom for people with type 2 diabetes and can be influenced by several factors:

- Blood Sugar Levels: Unregulated blood sugar levels can cause fatigue. Keeping blood sugar levels stable is crucial.
- Medications: Some medications, like insulin, duloxetine (Cymbalta), statins, beta-blockers, and diuretics, can cause fatigue as a side effect.
- Sleep Quality: High or low blood sugar levels can disrupt sleep, leading to fatigue.
- Peripheral Neuropathy: This condition, common in diabetes, can cause pain, numbness, and muscle weakness, contributing to fatigue.

It's important to discuss these symptoms with your doctor to develop a treatment plan that may include lifestyle changes, medication adjustments, and other strategies to manage fatigue and neuropathy.

I have experienced increasing pain and tingling in my toes. I am pre-diabetic, but my doctor advised me, since I take a high dose statin, to start taking CoQ-10 daily. I have been doing that and it has calmed my nerves down to where I don't have as much burning/tingling now. I hope that helps. Also, some blood pressure meds can cause neuropathy, so talk to your doctor about alternatives if you are on HBP meds.
